To date, Twin Cities Development has leased a large amount of acreage in areas of Shreveport, Bossier City and Mansfield, Louisiana. Before any drilling can occur, several steps must be taken to ensure that a drilling unit is constructed properly.
First, TCD will make ensure that the section in question has the proper requirements for a drilling unit. A drillsite and pipeline are two examples of key elements needed in the development of a unit. Before any leasing takes place, Twin Cities must have an idea about how the operation will be facilitated.
Once this is determined, then TCD will work extensively on to determine ownership of all the properties in that area. Along with that process comes some title work to determine that the property owner, in fact, holds the rights to the minerals as well.
After some preliminary title work is completed, TCD will contact several of the property owners in the area to educate them about progress with the development of their Haynesville Shale. You should execute an oil, gas and mineral lease only if you understand all of the details of the agreement.
If you decide to sign a lease with TCD, the development of your Haynesville Shale will be turned over to Chesapeake Energy, one of the Nation’s leaders in the production of natural gas. If Chesapeake is successful at drilling and producing a well within your unit, then you receive royalty payments throughout the life of the well.
